Breaking the Stigma: Black Men, Mental Health, and the Black Church – Fredricc Gerard Brock

What does mental health mean for Black men within the context of their Christian faith and community? How can the Church support the mental well-being of Black men? This session will explore these questions and how to create a culture of openness and support around mental health for Black men within church communities. The session will also include the exploration of peer-reviewed data and the session presenter’s ministry experiences. The goal of this session is to break down stigmas and foster healing and understanding of Black men and mental health within Black churches.
